Kate Horsley has published six novels, including Confessions of a Pagan Nun and A Killing in New Town, which won the Western States Arts Award for Fiction. Born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1952, she now lives in New Mexico where she teaches. She also does volunteer work in hospitals, trying to give patients and staff a creative respite from the dystopic healthcare system.
