local_library Seduction

I dance with the immortal in

a sort of eldritch paradise,

stirring up feelings in my bones

like a late Summer seduction

that lasts long past midnight

I dredge up dreams of long ago

My heart screams heavy metal melodies

as if the phantoms of my past

were lovers I don’t recall

Our flesh entwined, our very breath

born of the blackest verse,

the most scintillating poems

only those who have died and come back

could compose
