Watercolor puddles lick my knuckle slivers

and I fumble on poppy-red knees,

filling flower bins.

Muggy air drips down my breast,

watering wagon daffodils like cloud tears.

Chimney billows bringing flashbulb memories from

before diamond prongs dug into

ring finger, making a housewife

out of a pandemonium girl.
