local_library Untitled 7

by Sarah Bodem

Published in Issue No. 9 ~ October, 1997

while i’m still out

others sleep as they should

with a puck at every head’s pillow rest

on eyelids dusting

granulated star

my vision not blurred by such haze

tastes truth through

firetip glowing countdown death

and streetlights slow monotone creep

then flash depart as i make my

way there or damn near anywhere
