Subject: Little Meadow Simms by Marcy Dermansky
Twice in my life I have been compelled to immediately re-read a story for the
sheer enjoyment of it. The other time it was a story called 'Get the Lead Out'
by Sam Nicholson. I never came across anything else written by Mr. Nicholson.
I hope this will not be the case with Marcy Dermansky.
I am 63, by the way.

Prospero's Books was truly great - even on the small screen. I'm a simple factory
worker who found the video at a local rental place that has fifty cent Tuesdays.
I watched it every evening for seven evenings. The tale, the language, the visuals,
GIELGUD rocks. This never made it to our local theaters nor had I ever
heard of the movie. You guys rock. I thought I was the only person who ever
saw this.

I really like this piece. It recognizes the music of speech and the value of
simplicity without sinking into the quagmire of banal, emotional self-importance.
I like the closing lines but I don't believe that he really means it.
