Editor’s Notes for December 2000
Welcome to our final issue of 2000! Over the last year we’ve been
thrilled to publish outstanding work by writers and artists like Marcy
Dermansky, William Gass, Elizabeth Cox, Michael Joyce, Ted Warnell, Jenny
Factor, Richard Weems, Douglas Bauer, Billy Collins, Richard deGaris Doble,
Kate Moos, Nicole Norton, Kieron Devlin, Helen Ellis, Tom Boyle, Deena
Larsen, Mark Conway, Richard Yates – the list is endless. In fact, the work
has been so impressive that we’ve created a "Best of 2000" issue for
December. Many thanks to everyone who aided in shaping this year’s magazine.
These issues have been our best yet.
Needless to say, Pif is already planning for the year 2001.
We’re looking for text pieces with electronic elements or counterparts.
For instance:
- Interviews
-Interviews with authors like Don Dellillo (Body Artist :
A Novel comes out in 2/01) and Joy Williams (Ill Nature:
Meditations on Humanity and Other Animals comes out in 1/01).
-Interviews with music and film industry folks like the musician
Wyclef Jean, the band Pink Martini, the director Mike Leigh, or the
actor Hope Davis.
- Unusual cyber art, particularly digital photography and hypertext.
Work that does not easily fit into a single genre is encouraged.
- Commentary that uses hyperlinks, audio, or video

Happy Holidays to you all! And please don’t forget to put
